Let’s just hope for the Stars sake that Meek Mill isn’t introducing the players Sunday afternoon. That usually gets the Philadelphia teams pumped up going into the game. The Dallas Stars hit the road to take on the Phillidelphia Flyers Sunday afternoon. The Stars had too many costly turnovers Friday night against the Sharks and look to limit those today. Here are the three keys to the game for the Stars if they look to turn it around against the Flyers this afternoon.

Dallas Stars vs Philadelphia Flyers Preview: 3. Attack Sandstrom early

Flyers Goaltender Carter Hart started Saturday against the Ottawa Senators. More than likely Felix Sandstrom A.K.A Sandstorm will be starting against the Stars today. Currently, he has a .909 save percentage this season. The Stars have to overwhelm him coming out of the gate getting shots on net.

Dallas Stars vs Philadelphia Flyers Preview: 2. Jamie Benn gets the “green light”

Dallas Stars Head Coach Pete DeBoer might have cracked the code with Jamie Benn. After Jamie Benn’s two goal game at home against the Sharks Friday, he needs to be given the green light to shoot. Benn has had a resurgence in scoring over the last couple of weeks and it needs to continue against the Flyers. The Stars are more of a threat when he is allowed to attack the net.

Dallas Stars vs Philadelphia Flyers Preview: 1. No more turnovers exiting the zone

Right now, the puck handling by the Stars is the equivalent of a college hockey team. The Stars have got to start turning over the puck exiting their zone today. The Sharks were able to capitalize on some at the beginning of the second and third periods and thats why they beat the Stars Friday. The Flyers have some weapons with Travis Konecny and Tony DeAngelo. I’m sure they would like to capitalize on a couple of turnovers after watching the Stars film against San Jose.
