Jake Oettinger and the Dallas Stars are on a roll as they have won the last two games. They look to make it a third as they take on the Carolina Hurricanes for the first time this season. This will really test the Stars cause this is an environment that can swing a game in the Hurricanes favor with one goal. They are really going to need their offense ready to take this crowd out of it. Oettinger will look to improve his record after his 45-save game against the Washington Capitals.

Dallas Stars vs Carolina Hurricanes: 3. Defend Andrei Svechnikov

Andrei Svechnikov is the Hurricanes leading goal-scorer going into the matchup against the Dallas Stars. He has 16 goals and 11 assists so far this season. He is the most dangerous person that the Stars have to worry about tonight. The stars have to lock him down as they did Alex Ovechkin in the last game. It will be a long night if he gets going tonight against the Stars.

Dallas Stars vs Carolina Hurricanes: 2. Take advantage of the injuries

It looks like the Carolina hurricanes are going to be short-handed vs the Stars. Walt Ruff, Carolina Hurricanes Team Reporter, said that Sebastian Aho and Frederik Andersen will be out against the Stars this weekend. The Stars have got to learn to take advantage when a team is down with some injuries. It’s basically two easy points that the Stars can add to their collection this season. If the Stars can’t take advantage of this, there are some issues they need to discuss among themselves.

Dallas Stars vs Carolina Hurricanes: 1. Give Otter an early cushion

I’m glad the Stars responded to Oettinger’s great goaltending on Thursday night in the third period. However, they have got to give him an early one tonight if he starts. The Hurricanes can be very dangerous if they score the first goal. Their crowd really gets into the game and can force some teams to make mistakes. If the Stars can give Oettinger an early cushion and some protection, it’s another win against the Metropolitan Division.
