The Dallas Stars will finish up their father-son road trip with a duck hunt on the west coast. They will be taking on the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night. If you remember the last duck hunt that the Stars had this season, it was a complete and total success. However, the Ducks probably want some revenge for embarrassing them in Dallas.

Even though the Ducks season is basically over, you can’t count them out. The Stars have to be focused since they had a game last night. Here are the three keys to the game against the Anaheim Ducks tonight.

Dallas Stars vs Anaheim Ducks Preview: 3. Score like we did last time

Stars basically have to do one thing against the Ducks tonight, score like we did last time against them. Just throw the puck at the front of the net and jam it home. The Stars did that and they shot down five ducks on home ice. I can’t wait to see how the Benn-Johnston-Marchment line does against the Ducks tonight. I know they are due for a breakout game and it could happen tonight.

Dallas Stars vs Anaheim Ducks Preview: 2. Shut down Troy Terry

The Stars need to be worried about Troy Terry going into this matchup. He is currently their leading goal scorer with 12 goals. Adam Henrique is right behind him with 11 goals. I’m actually kind of shocked that Trevor Zegras is not at the top of the goal-scoring department for them right now. If the Stars can shut down these two tonight at the Honda Center, it’s going to be a successful duck hunt tonight.

Dallas Stars vs Anaheim Ducks Preview: 1. Play the rested goaltender

The Dallas Stars are on the back end of a back-to-back game situation. Whichever goaltender didn’t start last night will be the starter tonight. I expect it to be Scott Wedgewood starting tonight against the Ducks. Let’s hope he has a good game and the Stars can end this quick road trip on a good note.
