Dallas Stars floor it past the Panthers 5-1 snapping two game losing streak
Well I think that we can all agree that was better Stars hockey this afternoon than we saw in California. The Dallas Stars floor it past the Florida Panthers 5-1 and snap their two game losing streak. The only thing I wish the Stars would have done was get Otter the shutout. He was phenomenal today between the pipes and kept the Stars in it during the first period. Hopefully, the Stars can continue this winning streak going. Let’s take a look at the three takeaways for the Stars today.
Dallas Stars vs Florida Panthers Recap: 3. Jason Robertson has returned
Jason Robertson was a freak of nature today on the ice vs the Panthers. All you have to do is look at his first goal that he scored where he stole the puck from Papa Joe and buried it. I don’t know if Pavelski talked to him after about that incident. Robertson has finally got a little scoring streak going on now after going cold after his point streak earlier this season. The only question I have remaining about Jason Robertson after today’s game is could he be Thanos in disguise?
Dallas Stars vs Florida Panthers Recap: 2. More than one line scored
One of the main things that I wanted to see happen today was more than one line score. The Stars succeeded in that as we had goals also from Esa Lindell, Nils Lundkvist and Miro Heiskanen. They need to continue to get everyone involved in the offense. The Stars can’t watch the top line score a goal and take the rest of the game off. If the Stars continue to get goals from other lines during the game, this could be a very dangerous team in the playoffs.
Dallas Stars vs Florida Panthers Recap: 1. Got to bring up Suter’s play
While everything went well on the offensive end today, we got to talk about Suter’s defense. It could have led to the game going in the other direction multiple times today. Look at what David Castillo posted on Twitter during the game below. Ryan Suter leaves his man to double team someone and leaves the weak side wide open for a tap in for the Panthers. I just don’t see what Jim Nill sees in Ryan Suter and neither do fans as well.
