The Dallas Stars will have another back to back game situation as they take on the LA Kings on Thursday night. The Stars need to shake off being tired as the Kings look to cap off their home stand. The Stars are still getting their depth scoring as the forth line got into the scoring against San Jose last night. They need to continue that and help out Scott Wedgewood since he will more than likely be the goaltender tonight. Here are the three keys of the game for the Stars.
Dallas Stars vs Los Angeles Kings Preview: 3. Get over being tired
The Stars need to come out of the gate swinging tomorrow night against the Kings. I don’t want another repeat of the Anaheim game a couple weeks ago where the Stars came out flat footed against the Ducks. That is not what Dallas Stars hockey is and it should not be repeated in Los Angeles.
Dallas Stars vs Los Angeles Kings Preview: 2. Continue the depth scoring
The Stars need to continue having everyone chip in goals tonight. They did a good job against the San Jose Sharks with goals from Radek Faksa and Ty Dellandrea. With Roope Hintz more than likely out against the Kings, they will need everyone to contribute. Some of the best wins the Stars have had this year have been when multiple lines get in on the scoring.
Dallas Stars vs Los Angeles Kings Preview: 1. Protect Wedgewood
The Stars left him out to dry against the Calgary Flames in what was Scott Wedgewood’s worst loss of the season so far. The Stars need to do a better job of protecting him when he’s between the pipes. They also need to provide him with a nice goal cushion as well. Scott Wedgewood has some of his best games when he has a nice lead. Let’s end this roadtrip on a high note tonight with a win over the Kings.
