Well, I’m sure that the Dallas Stars are well-rested after a nice relaxing All-Star Break. Now, it’s time to get back to dominating the Western Conference against the Anaheim Ducks tonight. Tonight is a very special game as Jamie Benn will be playing in his 1,000th career NHL game, all with the Stars. I’m sure the Ducks are up to being party crashers tonight spoiling the festivities. Hopefully, the Stars come out of the gate strong.  Here are the three keys to the game for the Dallas Stars against the Ducks.

Dallas Stars vs Anaheim Ducks Preview: 3. Time to celebrate Jamie Benn

Tonight is a huge night for the Dallas Stars as they celebrate Jamie Benn’s 1000th career game with the Stars. He has been a huge part of leading the team for the past nine years. He has experienced the ups and downs of this franchise. The team needs to come out and win this game for Benn tonight, there are no exceptions.

Dallas Stars vs Anaheim Ducks Preview: 2. Put Wedgewood in net

Before the Otter fans come at me with knives and pitchforks, let me explain why Wedgewood needs to start tonight. Jake Oettinger has already played a lot of games in the first half of this season. The last thing that they need to do is play him too many times to the point he’s tired in the playoffs.

With the Stars having one of the top easiest remaining schedules, it would be good to see Wedgewood play more in the second half of the season. Don’t worry about Otter, he will more than likely start against Minnesota.

Dallas Stars vs Anaheim Ducks Preview: 1. Let the Ducks have it

The Stars got embarrassed on the road by the Ducks in early January losing 2-0 in Anaheim. Now that the Stars have had some time to think about it, it’s time to get revenge on the Ducks. I want to see multiple lines getting goals tonight. Let’s replicate that 5-0 shutout that the Stars had earlier in the season at home against the Ducks tonight.
