Max Domi takes on a familiar team as Dallas Stars take on Blackhawks
Max Domi returns home to Chicago to take on some familiar faces tonight. The Dallas Stars will be taking on his former team the Chicago Blackhawks for the last time this season. Since the last Stars game, things have changed in the standings.
The Stars have now fallen to third in the Central Division after Minnesota and Colorado won games this weekend. This is what happens when you can’t take care of the sub-.500 teams and think no one is overtaking you. Here are the three keys of the game tonight against the Blackhawks if the Stars want to start trying to reclaim first place in the Central Division.
Dallas Stars vs Chicago Blackhawks Preview: 3. Attack the net
The Stars have got to get the puck on the net tonight against Chicago. If you remember in the last game against the Canucks, the Stars were basically screwing around with the puck and not firing it at Thatcher Demko. I hope Anton Khudobin is in goal tonight against the Stars tonight. I hate saying that after all the things that he has done for this franchise. However, it seems like the way that the Stars have played recently it’s the only way they will get two points tonight.
Dallas Stars vs Chicago Blackhawks Preview: 2. Shut down Taylor Raddysh
Just imagine the Snoop Dogg meme of him saying “who?” posted under this key of the game. After Patrick Kane and Max Domi were traded, Raddysh has taken over as the top goal scorer for the Chicago Blackhawks with 20 goals this season. The Stars need to shut him down tonight if they want a shot to climb back up in the race for the Central Division. They need to get back to shutting down top goal scorers with only nine games remaining this season.
Dallas Stars vs Chicago Blackhawks Preview: 1. Otter will most likely start tonight
If the Stars want Jake Oettinger rested for Colorado this weekend, he needs to start tonight against the Blackhawks. Now there is some good news on the goalie front and that is Scott Wedgewood is traveling with the team right now on this road trip. There is a possibility that he could start one of these road games to give Oettinger an extra game off. We will see what happens as they start this road trip in Chicago.
