For those who have heart issues or can’t take the stress, I wouldn’t watch tonight’s Dallas Stars game. The most stressful game in the playoffs is an elimination game when you are trying to eliminate someone. The reason why is you don’t know what kind of team that will be coming out of the other tunnel. That’s why the Stars need to be prepared at the opening puck drop. I know the Minnesota Wild don’t want to be done playing hockey season and will do anything to make sure it gets to game 7.

If the Stars come out and take care of business getting the puck into the net often and early, then we should have no problem. However, if the Stars allow the Wild to hang around, then it will be Defcon 1. Let’s take a look at tonight’s matchup between the Stars and the Wild.

Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild Preview: 3. Score often and early

The Stars need to put the Wild in their hibernation mode by the end of the first period. They can do that by scoring a plethora of goals in the first period. I want to see their fanbase heading for the exits early on in the game. The Stars have got to get over scoring only on the power play. They need to start scoring at even strength tonight. It’s the only way that the Stars can eliminate the Wild tonight.

Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild Preview: 2. More Robo goals, please

I really want to see the Robo we all know and love from the regular season tonight. Jason Robertson has had one heck of a season only to go missing during the playoffs. If we get the Robo from the regular season tonight, then I like our chances here tonight in Minnesota to eliminate the Wild. If he doesn’t show up, will it could be a long flight back home for game 7 on Sunday.

Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild Preview: 1. End them

The last thing I want to do is write about the Minnesota Wild one more time this season. I believe all Stars fans have the same hope as me but please just eliminate the Wild tonight. The last thing that the Stars need to have happen is a rejuvenated Wild team coming down here on Sunday and winning the series. Just save them a plane trip and take care of them tonight in Minnesota.
