For a while now, Joe Pavelski has been an essential player on the Dallas Stars. With 28 goals and 49 assists in this season alone, he’s nothing short of amazing. The Stars not having him since Game 1, Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, has truly been a sting. The Stars need Joe Pavelski.

The Stars are headed for Round Two to take on their next victims: The Seattle Kraken.

What does Joe Pavelski’s future with the Dallas Stars look like?

Ultimately, even though he was ‘labeled’ as being a game-time decision for the Stars’ latest game against the Minnesota Wild where they closed out the series, Joe Pavelski ended up not playing. Since being in concussion protocol since Game 1 of the Stars’ first series, that was probably best. With it being a series-determining game, you’d hate for anything else to happen to him, but on the other side of things, you’d also hate to see Pavelski’s injury put a damper on them winning.

Normally Roope Hints and Tyler Seguin play on Pavelski’s line, and while they’ve been doing nothing short of stellar things, Joe Pavelski is a much needed asset to the team.

The Dallas Stars’ head coach, Pete DeBoer had initially expected him to return sometime in the First Round as he remained super hopefully that he would. However, that didn’t end up happening. But will Pavelski make a Round Two return?

According to DeBoer, when he last saw Pavelski before the Stars’ deciding game, he was ‘looking good’ and seemed to be doing overall alright. There’s no reason, though, to put a player’s life, health, and/or safety at risk, so all of those things must be considered before his official return back.

Of course, we want to see Pavelski playing back alongside his teammates; however, we only want to see him back so as long as he’s being safe and cautious about it. With Pavelski back on the ice, The Dallas Stars are even closer to getting that Secound Round Dub! Go Stars!

That’s a wrap on where Joe Pavelski’s future stands with the Dallas Stars in Round Two of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs!
