That game last night sure seemed familiar to Stars fans. It was basically a mirror of game 3 when the Stars played their first playoff road game at the Xcel Energy Center. All it took was one goal from the Kraken and they were off to the races. The Dallas Stars would end up losing 7-2 to the Kraken after Miro Heiskanen went down taking a puck to the face.

I don’t know what happened to Jake Oettinger last night but I could tell he was shaken up pretty badly after that injury to Heiskanen. It’s the first time Oettinger had a bad playoff game in his career. He couldn’t track the puck on the ice and that’s what led to the Star’s downfall in Seattle last night.

The defense also led to that but there were so many goals the Kraken scored that Otter could have stopped easily. This was not his finest performance. Let’s take a look back and see if we even have three takeaways from last night’s 7-2 loss in Seattle.

Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken Recap: 2. The team went missing after Miro went down

I don’t know what it’s with the Stars and playing after a teammate gets injured. The same thing happened in game 1 against the Wild went Joe Pavelski went down. The team basically played like they were at a funeral after Heiskanen went down last night and the Kraken unleashed their fury and blitzed the Stars. I mean for god sake go out there and win it for your team. I’m sure he was not happy hearing the goal horn for the Kraken while getting stitches in the dressing room.

Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken Recap: 1. It only matters how you respond

The only thing the Stars can do now is move on to game 4 and try to split the games in Seattle. Hopefully, Heiskanen will be available for game 4 on Tuesday night. The Stars need to respond with a vengeance and get this series tied back up at 2 against the Kraken. I’m sure the team doesn’t want to be on the brink of elimination heading back to Dallas for game 5 on Thursday night.
