The Dallas Stars look to force a Game 7 against the Golden Knights tonight at the American Airlines Center. The Stars got heroics from Ty Dellandrea in the third period in Game 5 which is why we are playing hockey again at the American Airlines Center. The Stars are also getting Jamie Benn back after his two-game suspension for cross-checking Mark Stone. If the Stars come out with the same passion as they did in Game 5 tonight, I could see a deciding Game 7 in Vegas Wednesday.

Dallas Stars vs Vegas Golden Knights Preview: 3. Put the loose pucks in the net

The Stars have got to get to the net and knock in loose rebounds that Adin Hill might not get with his glove. In the first period of Game 5 there were so many chances for the Stars to put the game away early. If the Stars want to play in another hockey game on Wednesday night, they have to get those loose rebounds right in front of him. During the third period of Game 5, he was stopping every puck before the Stars could get to the rebound. That can’t happen tonight

Dallas Stars vs Vegas Golden Knights Preview: 2. Shut down their offense

The Stars need to shut down the Golden Knight’s offense tonight in order to force a game 7. They cant allow any of their players to get in front of Oettinger. The prime example of this is Ivan Barbashev cutting across the front of the net to give the Golden Knights an early 1-0 lead. That kind of play can’t happen from any of their players if the Stars want a chance to win. Just make sure Jake Oettinger isn’t overworked and the Stars can cruise to a victory.

Dallas Stars vs Vegas Golden Knights Preview: 1. Get Jamie Benn involved

Jamie Benn is offically back in the lineup tonight after serving that two game suspension. The Stars could use someone of his nature to score some goals to force Game 7. I’m sure that he will be put back on his usual line tonight. If the Stars want to see another game this season, he’s got to get going early to provide some motivation to win Game 6 tonight.
