The Dallas Stars have officially began their off-season. Being in the offseason comes tons and tons of different decisions to be made, whether you’re talking about trades, team structure, draft picks, and free agency. Looking into the world of Dallas’ free agents, it’s important to make those decisions on who to keep and who to let go.

We’re going to dive into and analyze which 3 of the Stars’ FA’s are most likely to return.

Which free agents from the Dallas Stars are most likely to have a place on the team next season?

In no particular order, here are the top 3 free agents most likely to return to Dallas next season:

Dallas Stars Free Agent 1. Evgenii Dadonov

According to many, this is quite possibly one of the best trades that Dallas has ever made, especially when it comes to offensive production. Dadonov provides tons of depth with the way that he plays, as well as a lot of physicality in his game. In his final 23 games with the Stars, Dadonov produced 3 goals and 15 points. In the postseason, he produced an additional 4 goals and 10 points but surely would’ve produced more if he wasn’t injured for most of the Western Conference Finals. Dallas should be looking forward to having Dadonov back next year!

Dallas Stars Free Agent: 2. Ty Dellandrea

This super intense dude is the youngest guy on this list; at 22 years old he is definitely a part of the Stars’ future. This year, he played in all 82 games with a total of 9 goals and 28 points. During his play time on ice this year, he almost exclusively played with Jamie Benn and Wyatt Johnston. Because of that, we’ve already seen him prove himself. In the postseason, he was able to muster up an additional 3 goals, 2 of those goals being in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals where the Stars were able to get a victory. Staying on the Stars, we can only hope that if he can’t get bigger and better goals than he already did this year, that he can at least match his current talents!

Dallas Stars Free Agent: 3. Adam Scheel

This is someone that throughout the 2022-2023 season you didn’t hear a whole lot about. He’s generally a very good goalie with a semi-consistent SV% (in fact, in his last 10 games his SV% was .938. Right now he is a restricted free agent with arbitration eligibility.

Looking up into the future of the Dallas Stars, this guy is super young, and at some point down the line, when it comes to Jake Oettinger, a good second or third-string goalie will be absolutely needed. Not only is he young at 24 years old, but he’s also big at 6’4″, which is definitely something that could help the Stars in the future: Big, Tall, Young, and Fresh!

That’s a wrap on the top 3 free agents that are most likely to remain with the Dallas Stars!

What do you make of all of this? Did we miss anyone else super important? Who’s the #1 FA to return next season in your personal opinion?
