Key Dates of the Dallas Stars 2023-24 regular season schedule

As we are getting ready for the NHL Draft to commence later tonight. The NHL decided to drop the 2023-24 regular season schedule for the Dallas Stars earlier this afternoon. It is filled with excellent matchups for the Stars, especially to start the season. From taking on the Vegas Golden Knights on the road early on to facing Conor Bedard on New Year’s Eve, there is so much to unpack. Let’s take a look at some of the key games that you should keep an eye on this season.
Dallas Stars 2023-24 Key Dates: 1. Season home opener against the St. Louis Blues
Stars kick off their season with a home game against the St. Louis Blues on October 12th. I remember going to the home opener last season and the American Airlines Center was packed to the brim with fans. I expect it will be the same again this season with all the recent success that the Stars had during the postseason. What better way to kick off the season with a win against the Blues.
Dallas Stars 2023-24 Key Dates: 2. Western Conference Finals revenge game
Five days after the season opener, they travel out to Vegas to take on the Golden Knights on October 17th. This will be a huge game considering the Golden Knights eliminated the Stars from the playoffs last season. Luckily for the Stars, they will have already raised their Stanley Cup Champions banner against the Seattle Kraken. That’s one game to pencil down early on in the season.
Dallas Stars 2023-24 Key Dates: 3. Monty comes home
November 6th is another huge game for the Dallas Stars. They welcome former Dallas Stars Head Coach Jim Montgomery and the Boston Bruins. For those who didn’t watch the NHL Awards the other night, Monty walked away with the Jack Adams Award for Top Coach of the Year in the NHL. It will be a good night to welcome back a former coach that beat his Alcohol addiction and got a second chance to coach in the NHL.
Dallas Stars 2023-24 Key Dates: 4. Ringing in 2024 with Conor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks
This will be the first time that Stars’ fans will be able to witness Connor Bedard in person at the American Airlines Center. They will be taking on the Chicago Blackhawks at home on December 29th and 31st. This will be another huge matchup on the schedule as fans pack the AAC to bring in the new year. there’s no better way to bring in 2024 than getting to watch a generational talent like Bedard.
Dallas Stars 2023-24 Key Dates: 5. Wrap the regular season up against the Blues
Just like opening up the season against the Blues, we will be closing the season against them on April 17th, 2024. Hopefully, by then, we will have clinched a playoff spot to see if we can run it back to the Western Conference Finals again.
