So far today, we took a look at how Joe Pavelski and Jason Robertson might do this season. Now, let’s take a look at how Roope Hintz might do this upcoming season. HIP!!!!! HIP!!!!! ROOPE!!!!!!!! chanted Stars fans on social media when Roope Hintz scored a goal last season. Roope Hintz is one of the best young two-way forwards in the league right now. The Stars were super smart to lock him down to an eight-year contract extension during the offseason last year.

It appeared out of the blue one day during the offseason when Stars fans were waiting for hockey. Let’s take a look at how Roope Hintz did last season and what can we expect from the young forward this season.

Roope Hintz had a fantastic season basically showing up on tons of highlight goal reels on ESPN and other channels covering hockey. Hintz had 47 goals and 52 assists last season after signing that massive contract extension. He totally was worth every penny when he scored a goal last season. You could see that in the first round of the playoffs after he fed himself the puck against the Wild and scored. He even recorded a hat trick against the Minnesota Wild in the first round as well.

Depending on how his linemates do this season will depend on how much he will score during the regular season. During the regular season alone he had 37 goals which isn’t that bad to be honest. However, I think he will do better than that this season. I could see him recording 45 goals and around 35 assists this season. It depends if Dallas Stars Head Coach Pete DeBoer keeps him on the first power play team which I think he will.

Roope Hintz is stuck in Dallas for another 7 seasons including next season which is a good thing. Hintz provided so much offense for the Stars last season when they needed it. You have to give the Stars’ scouts their credit for finding him in the NHL prospect pool back in 2015. Hintz is going to remain an offensive powerhouse for the Stars for a long time and I can’t wait to see how he does next season.
