Roster predictions for Dallas Stars prospect tournament team
The calendar is about to flip to September which means it’s almost time for Dallas Stars training camp. But before all of that, the Stars will be making a trip up to Traverse City to play in a prospect tournament with three other teams.
They will be taking on the Detroit Red Wings, Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Columbus Blue Jackets. There is no title or trophy being handed out for having the best record. It’s just a way for each of the teams to see how much their prospects have improved.
This year’s Stars prospect team will probably be led by no other than top prospect Logan Stankoven. Mavrik Bourque and Matthew Seminoff will also headline the team as well. It will be interesting to see who the Stars will send up to Michigan as they might not send some guys so that way they are healthy for training camp.
Let’s take a look at who I predict will be heading up to Michigan this year.

Dallas Stars Prospect Team: Overview/Conclusion
You are going to see a blend of some of the best young talent the Dallas Stars have to offer. With Stankoven and Bourque having experience playing in the tournament before, they will lead a mixture of guys the Stars have drafted over the last four years. Personally, I can’t wait to see if they put that top line up of Seminoff-Stranges-Stankoven together. I think that would be a really fun line to put together to generate some goals.
Also, getting to see Lian Bichsel check some players into the boards will be fun as well. I don’t know how many minutes he will get since he just got back from injury but it will be nice to see him play. The last player I hope generates some noise at the tournament is Fegaras. He had a quiet year last season and he has all the pieces of being an NHL Defenseman. If he has a good showing here and at training camp, he could earn a spot in Cedar Park next season.
I know you can’t wait for Stars hockey to get here soon. It’s been a long and dreadful offseason watching the Vegas Golden Knights celebrate winning the Stanley Cup. We just need to wait a few more weeks for hockey to be back in the Dallas metroplex.
