There are so many awesome prospects coming to the Dallas Stars training camp next month. It’s important that we go over as many as we can to get to know the potential future of our team. One of those people that we just can’t wait to talk about during our Prospect Series is Center, Francesco Arcuri.

Let’s get right on to it!

Dallas Stars Prospect Series: Francesco Arcuri’s background

In his 2022-23 season, he played for both the Kingston Frontenacs (OHL) and the Kitchener Rangers (OHL); he played in a decent amount of games for both and scored 23 goals for the Frontenacs and 25 goals for the Rangers.

At 6′ 1″ and 200 lbs., he’s definitely a pretty large and in-charge Forward. He can be both super effective in playmaking and defending responsibly. He’s very accurate in his long-passing skills and knows how to get the puck to exactly who he wants it to go to. All in all, he’s the most perfect size to be a Center, but of course, like all players in the league, he’s got just a few things that he needs to work on.

Dallas Stars Prospect Series: Likeliness of Francesco Arcuri making the roster this season

Back in August of 2022, GM Jim Nill announced that the team had signed Francesco Arcuri to a three-year, entry-level contract. That was a very good decision on the Stars’ part. He will be nothing short of a great asset to the team and hopefully help lead them to The Cup. Unfortunately,  his likeness to make the Opening Night Roster is slim to none based on the free agent signings this offseason.

Dallas Stars Prospect Series: What Francesco Arcuri needs to work on the most

We’ve already talked about his size and how that could be advantageous to the team; however, he does seem to have just a bit of a problem using his size to his advantage. In his past few seasons, he’s been a decent goal-scorer as he is currently developing his very own intriguing approach to doing so. Other than really honing in on using his size to help the team, there’s really not much else that Arturi needs to work on.

We’re so looking forward to seeing him play, seeing him dominate with his size, and just overall, we hope that this dude can help lead the Stars to the Stanley Cup in the next season or two. What do you think of Arturi? Was his contract worth it? Weigh in all of your opinions in the comments below!
