The Dallas Stars don’t have a lot of time to celebrate the huge victory from Sunday night against the Arizona Coyotes. They are right back on the ice on Tuesday as they take on the Minnesota Wild at home.

What’s really cool about this game is Stars’ fans will be the first to see the brand new jumbotron that the American Airlines Center just put in. If there was one word to describe the brand-new jumbotron, it would be incredible. Here are the three keys of the game tonight against the Minnesota Wild.

Dallas Stars vs. Minnesota Wild Preview: 3. Let the prospects fight for roster spots

I don’t think there is a need for any of the core Dallas Stars players to even suit up for the preseason. The prospects showed on Sunday night that they are hungry to make the Dallas Stars’ opening night roster and to just play them. I wouldn’t even be surprised if the Stars just basically copied and pasted their lineup from Sunday into the lineup tonight.

Dallas Stars vs. Minnesota Wild Preview: 2. American Airlines Center nerves

I have a really weird feeling that we will see a lot of our prospects have the jitters playing in the American Airlines Center in front of everyone tonight. They know the Stars crowd can be a tough one to please at times and it could make them nervous. Hopefully, by the second period, the prospects can relax and play the game that they did on Sunday night down at the H-E-B Center.

Dallas Stars vs. Minnesota Wild Preview: 1. All eyes on Stanky

After the two-goal performance that he had on Sunday night, all eyes will be on Logan Stankoven tonight. The Stars’ top prospect has shown that he can be an offensive juggernaut and he could be coming to steal someone’s roster spot this season.

Dallas Stars Head Coach Pete DeBoer could have a hard decision to make if Stankoven continues to score goals during the preseason. I think a lot of fans could be mad if he ended up scoring around ten preseason goals and ended up at Cedar Park to begin the year.
