Dallas Stars Missing Playoffs Is First Step To Success In Future

It’s over. The horrific enemy named “mathematics” has officially struck the Dallas Stars down for the final time in the 2014-2015 season. The Winnipeg Jets sealed a win over the Minnesota Wild last night, which led to the official elimination of the Stars from the playoff race. As a result, the final two games will be ultimately meaningless for the Stars in the standings, and nothing more than bitter grudge matches, as they face two teams already safely nestled away in playoff spots.

Some may say that this was a long time coming for the Dallas Stars, and some may be upset that they drug the race and hope out as long as they did. A little over a month ago, the Dallas Stars were nine points out of the final wild card spot and 12 out of the first. But after a miraculous month of March that ended with a record of 10-5-0, the Stars looked back into the fight until dropping two of the final three games in March while the other teams in the wild card race won out.

It is over, and now is the time to look forward to the offseason. But this new offseason presents the Dallas Stars with nothing but green lights as they strive for their 2015-2016 campaign.

With the final push that was presented, it is clear that the Dallas Stars current team is made up of a quality group of players all searching for nothing but the best… well, at least most of them anyways.

But with a high-powered offense and a heftily improving defense, along with a back crease that still remains a mystery, the Stars offseason looks to be a mere stepping stone in a memorable season panning out ahead.

A few tweaks here and there will do some good, but the will and mentality of this team is right where it needs to be, and is leaps and bounds ahead from any other team just missing the cut for the postseason.

So, not to be too cliché, but “we’ll get ’em next year!”

It seems that the squad needed a year to gel together, that’s all. Next season will definitely be a special one.

So, from all of us at Blackout Dallas, we would like to thank you for following and keeping up with us throughout this rollercoaster-caliber year. Monday the 6th marked my first full year with the site, and I could not dream of a better way to have spent it than interacting with y’all. It means more than you can imagine.
