Dallas Stars News: A Busy, Busy Day In The Hockey World
The Dallas Stars have experienced a pretty busy and exciting Thursday up to this point. With news surrounding their NHL and AHL clubs, it’s got a little something for everyone.
So, let’s get you caught up on all things Dallas Stars and give you all the up-to-date information you can handle.
Texas Stars new logos and jerseys:
The Dallas Stars AHL affiliate down in Austin has a new look. The Texas Stars announced their rebrand this morning, taking a completely new look on their logo, jerseys, and more.
With the new logo, the Texas Stars will also be receiving new jerseys with a victory green color scheme later this summer. The change was brought on after the Stars experienced an overhaul on their jerseys and logo back before the 2013-2014 season. This new trend will help unify the two teams and show them as an army of one, so to speak.

Dallas Stars getting new goaltending coach?
The Dallas Stars may be on their way to hire a new goaltending coach. The team may be aiming at hiring goalie coach Mike Reese from the Philadelphia Flyers. Reese would take over Mike Valley’s spot, while Valley would move into a developmental role within the organization, aiding younger goalies.
The Stars had a bit of a sour year in the crease in 14-15, and Reese is an experienced coach that could come in and help improve the club. But he may have some trouble getting out of Philadelphia, where he currently serves as goalie coach for the Flyers. Though he departed from the team before the season ended, he is still signed with them. This means the Stars organization cannot say anything about hm just yet. We’ll see if something is worked out.

Jussi Rynnas off to KHL
Texas Stars goaltender Jussi Rynnas was placed on unconditional waivers this morning, and will be signing with the KHL.
It was reported on Tuesday that Rynnas was looking to move overseas, and now the deal is done. Rynnas only played with the Stars one season after signing last July with the team. With him gone, the Stars now have a substantial hole in the AHL crease that needs to be filled. Who it will be filled by remains to be seen, but the man who carried the Texas Stars along this season between the pipes is out.
