The Dallas Stars are enjoying the second and final day of their break this week before jumping back into play Friday night in Carolina.

So far throughout November, they are 1-1-0. A potentially demoralizing 4-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs in which the Stars outshot the Leafs 44-26 started the month off Monday night. The Stars would make the overnight trip to Boston where they prepared for a matchup with the Bruins Tuesday night.

With Tyler Seguin leading the way with a four point night, the Dallas Stars defeated the Boston Bruins 5-3 to successfully counter their first back-to-back of the year. But even with a two-day break, the Stars news continues to roll in. Here is some of the latest to catch up on in case you may have missed it.

Tyler Seguin Makes Girl’s Night And Possibly Life:

Tyler Seguin is known for many things around the NHL. It might be winning a Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011. Or it could be that the Bruins traded him away because he was still a young player who liked to party and they needed to make room on their roster. Or it might even be that since the trade, Seguin has finished top 10 in scoring every year since and currently leads the NHL in most points.

But something that not many think about is Seguin’s dedication to fans and others in need. Tyler Seguin currently runs a foundation called “Seguin’s Stars” in which he provides a box suite for members of the Southwest Wheelchair Athletic Association at every home game. Seguin also meets and mingles with them all after the game. His generous program has been going since he began playing for Dallas in 2013.

But Tyler Seguin also knows how to make people feel special. On Tuesday night during warmups at the Bruins game, Seguin saw a fan standing near the glass with a sign. You know what, just watch the video.

But just when you thought he could not get any more caring, this happened post game. After Tyler Seguin recorded his sixth hat trick as a member of the Dallas Stars against his former team and in front of his former fan base, he took time after to go and meet the same girl he had noticed pregame.

Tyler Seguin is proving that he truly has a special place in his heart for the fans.

NBC Projects Stars Playoff Chances:

The NBC Sports crew spent last night preparing for the weekly “Wednesday Night Rivalry” segment, and last night featured a matchup between two Central Division teams, the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues. The Blues ended up rallying from a 5-2 deficit and beating the Hawks in overtime by a score of 6-5.

Soon after the game ended, the NBC Sports analysts began to break down the game. But after, they started to talk about the Central Division as a whole. The Dallas Stars became the hot topic of conversation, and the question arose of whether they were a lock for a playoff berth this season. The answers were unanimous:

The first quote really says it all. With a record of 10-3-0 and being the best team in the Western Conference, it is practical to believe at this point that the Dallas Stars are legitimate contenders for a playoff spot this season. With their high-powered offense, improving defense, and quality goaltending, they have a good chance at continuing their reign in the West.
