The Dallas Stars Havoc Fanatics were a group of passionate Stars fans who lead cheers, wore crazy costumes, and made sure the AAC was loud during all home games. Unfortunately, they were only around for about a year but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t come back!

If you’ve ever been to a Dallas Stars game that wasn’t against the Chicago Blackhawks then you’ve probably had some amount of quiet time at the American Airlines Center (AAC). My seats are in the last row of the lower bowl and I could occasionally hear the players call out to one another. Was it cool? Yeah. Was it also weird that it was that quiet in the stadium? Oh yeah!

See the problem? The stadium feels dead sometimes to us fans. Some games I’d have to get a coffee in the second intermission to wake myself up no matter what was going on in the game. We need some more life in the stadium. It feels uncomfortable to try to start a cheer in there now. We need more than just a few individuals willing to shout a cheer every now and then. We need a Stars Fanatics movement!

Who Were The Havoc Fanatics?

Jeff K started the Havoc Fanatics in March of 2007 in the 2006-2007 season. To be in the group, you not only had to apply but you also had to answer some questions about the game of hockey. They wanted knowledgeable Stars fans! How incredible!

These Havoc Fanatics were the most loyal, loud, and proud Stars fans that were also sponsored by the Havoc energy drink. They filled two sections in the AAC with over 150 fans during their first month. Sadly, it appears the Havoc Fanatics disappeared after the 2007-2008 season. Apparently they got some complaints for being too loud…are you kidding me? It’s hockey! Not golf…

They eventually morphed into just the Fanatics and were around until 2013 according to their Facebook page. It seemed to be a rather small group by then. They, like the Havoc Fanatics, sat in section 332 in the AAC.

Call To Action

Are you tired of a quiet AAC, Stars Fans? And annoyed by being out cheered by other team’s fans in our town? I sure am! This is our chance as fans to create a fan section just for us. Feel proud when wearing your Victory Green this coming season and help us cheer on our beloved Stars all the way to the playoffs!
