Dallas Stars’ 2017-18 Regular Season Broadcast Schedule Announced
It’s beginning to look a lot like hockey season. Here is the Dallas Stars’ 2017-18 regular season broadcast schedule so you know where to find each and every game.
As hockey fans kindly usher the month of August out the door, the 2017-18 hockey season quickly approaches. The season is a little over a month away, and actual Dallas Stars hockey action will be here before we know it.
In 15 days, the Stars will kick off their 2017 training camp session in Cedar Park, TX. There are position battles, new players, and players recovering from injuries to look out for, giving you more to focus on over the four-day period.
After that, the preseason starts up, giving Dallas six games across two weeks to make any final decisions and round out their lineup in preparation for opening night. And then the regular season begins, and we all know how much fun that entails.
This season, you will once again have the amazing opportunity to watch each of the Dallas Stars’ 82 games. That’s because for a 25th straight season, Fox Sports Southwest will cover the Stars and their pursuit for the Stanley Cup.

80 of the 82 games will be broadcast on the Fox Sports Southwest network, with the other two being carried by NBC Sports (@ Pittsburgh on March 11, @ Minnesota on March 29). Of the 80 games, 54 will be broadcast on the Fox Sports Southwest primary channel, with the other 26 being on Fox Sports Southwest Plus channel.
The Stars have run on these three channels for the past few years, so chances are you are subscribed to all three stations. If you are, then you get another full season of Dallas Stars hockey (insert applause here). If not, then hop to it and get subscribed.
In addition to the TV subscriptions, you will also be able to find all of the games in a mobile form. For each of the 80 FSSW games, you will also be able to catch them on the FoxSportsGO app or online at FoxSportsGo.com. For the two NBC Sports games, simply check the NBC Sports app or go to NBCSports.com.

There’s a variety of platforms to find them on, including NHL TV, which you can subscribe to at NHL.com. The only setback with this subscription is that the games that are broadcast in your area will be blacked out on NHL TV. So if you live in the DFW area, subscribing to NHL TV isn’t the best idea.
In the press release, it also mentioned the members of the Dallas Stars broadcast crew. Daryl “Razor” Reaugh, Craig Ludwig, Julie Dobbs, Josh Bogorad, Bob Sturm, and Brent Severyn will return to their respective roles for another year. But there was one other name included that might just get you even more excited for the year: Dave Strader.
A little over one year ago, Strader was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare for of bile duct cancer. As a result, he missed a large chunk of the 2016-17 regular season while undergoing treatment. Even in his absence, his fight inspired Stars fans everywhere. He is now one of the many loved members of the Stars organization, and we cannot wait to hear him back on the microphone.
