The 2017 calendar year brought a lot of unexpectedness to the Dallas Stars. But through this unexpectedness came plenty of promise for the future. Let’s take a look at all that happened over the past 365 days.

Happy New Year, Dallas Stars fans. From all of us here at Blackout Dallas, we want to wish each and every one of you a safe and hopefully promising start to 2018!

But with the promising new year ahead, there’s also a time to look back on the past. Reminiscing can be a powerful tool to not only help show all that you have come from, but also help pave the way for your future decisions and actions.

For the Dallas Stars, they have a lot to look back on in the past year. It’s been quite an interesting year for Texas’ favorite NHL franchise, to say the least.

Take a quick step back and rewind to January 1, 2017. What were you doing? Chances are you may not remember; and if you do remember, you can probably think of a plethora of things that have happened since then.

365 days can bring a lot of change, both positive and negative, for a hockey team. In the past year, the Stars have endured a lot of unexpectedness. There has been some bad, some good, and plenty of change. The concept of change has been a staple in the Stars’ franchise over the past 365 days, and those changes are what helped make up the current team that now boasts a record of 21-15-3 with 45 points.

Sure, the 2016-17 season was rough and the 2017-18 season has been an eventful ride so far, but how do all of what’s happened over the past year correlate together? It’s been an incredible journey filled with plenty of twists and turns.

As a nice way to ring in the New Year, let’s take a look back at what all transpired over the past 365 days. It’s been quite an interesting run for the Stars over the past 12 months.
