Things are looking good for the Dallas Stars and their farm team right now. The Texas Stars have won three games in a row against the Tucson Roadrunners. With that being said, they are one win away from the Western Conference Finals.
The Dallas Stars aren’t in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but the Texas Stars are in the Calder Cup Playoffs. That’s good news for the Stars organization as a whole.
The Texas Stars started their Calder Cup journey on April 19 against the Ontario Reign. After four games, they claimed the series in 3-1 fashion and advanced to the second round.
And now, it looks like they aren’t planning on stopping. Through four second round games so far, Texas owns a 3-1 series lead over the Tucson Roadrunners. The Roadrunners finished the regular season as the first seed in the Pacific Division while the Stars claimed the second seed. But Texas is quickly closing in on winning the Pacific bracket.
The impressive thing about the Stars so far is that they continue to play with a resilient style.

They started the second round off by falling just short in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Roadrunners. But they responded in a big way, rattling off a dominant 4-1 win in game two and returning to Cedar Park with the series tied.
And in games 3 and 4, they kept pouring it on in front of their home crowd. In game 3, they held a commanding 4-2 lead through two periods before giving up two goals in the third period and sending the game to overtime. But Sheldon Dries came through in the overtime frame, scoring his third goal of the postseason and giving Texas the 5-4 win.
On Wednesday night, Mike McKenna put together a stellar 27-save shutout as the Stars rolled to a 2-0 victory to take a 3-1 series lead. With game five coming on Friday night in Cedar Park, Texas has a chance to close out the series and advance to the Western Conference Finals.
Brian Flynn is leading the charge for the Stars with six goals and 10 points in eight games. McKenna is carrying Texas in the crease, posting a record of 6-2-0 along with a .953 save percentage and 1.64 goals against average. These stellar numbers have Texas on the brink of advancing and taking down yet another divisional opponent.
