Dallas Stars Release 2018-19 Training Camp Roster
Training camp is a little over a week away for the Dallas Stars, and today the schedule and roster was released so fans can see who will be in Boise.
The Dallas Stars are holding training camp in Boise this year, giving fans of their ECHL affiliate a chance to see the team in their arena.
Camp has been held in Cedar Park for the last few years, where the Texas Stars hosted the camp in the H-E-B Center.
The first two days are closed to the public, but Steelheads season ticket holders can get access to the second day. The scrimmage on Sunday will be open to the public on a ticketed basis as usual.

No one on the roster should come as a surprise, but there are a few prospects who are getting closer to a call-up. A good camp to impress Jim Montgomery will go a long way toward putting their names higher on the list when it comes time to make a call.
With the Traverse City prospect tournament coming up this weekend, some of the players will be making back-to-back appearances. Players like Nick Caamano and Ty Dellandrea will be making their case on both weekends to move up from the OHL soon, so fans should keep an eye on their play. Caamano had a great training camp last year and stayed through several rounds of cuts.
Miro Heiskanen will also be attending both weekends, so Stars fans can check out how the top defensive prospect in the system is doing before the season starts.
This will be the first chance fans get to see the new free agent acquisitions officially skating with the team, including Roman Polak, Anton Khudobin, and Blake Comeau. Jim Nill didn’t make any huge deals in free agency this summer (yet), but the three new signings will hopefully have a positive impact on the team.
Valeri Nichushkin is returning to training camp after a two-year absence while he played in the KHL. Camp will give fans an opportunity to assess his play to see if he’s improved in his time with CSKA Moscow.
With training camp a little over a week away and the first pre-season game in less than two weeks, the season’s getting close. While most of the roster is already set, there are a few players on the edge who are still a question mark as to if they’ll be in the line-up or scratched when the season gets underway. Training camp will be their first step to earning their place.
