The Dallas Stars are hitting the ice tonight for their last game of the road trip, and they’ll finally have their starting goaltender back to do it.

After going down last week in a game against the Rangers, Ben Bishop missed five games and the Dallas Stars could’ve used him.

Four of those five games were back-to-back games, and Anton Khudobin started all of them.

Khudobin did well, but a fresh set of legs would’ve been helpful to have, especially going into the game against the Avalanche last Saturday.

Bishop will get the start tonight, and it’ll be interesting to see how he returns from this injury. It shouldn’t be much of a problem, but every once in a while, an injury really sticks around and keeps flaring up. Hopefully that’s not the case for Bishop here.

Goaltending hasn’t been the problem for the Stars though, with the offense struggling to score.

One forward who has been seriously lacking in the offense department is Valeri Nichushkin, who is getting healthy scratched tonight. Nichushkin made his return from the KHL this season after two years away, but he hasn’t really found his scoring touch yet. He’s played well defensively, but the Stars need some offense from him.

The Stars could really use a win tonight to end the road trip on a high note before coming back home.
