The Dallas Stars are headed to Anaheim tonight to close out their season series against the Ducks.

As is the case every time the Dallas Stars play the Ducks, there’s a question hanging over the game: can Tyler Seguin finally get a goal against them?

The Ducks are the only team Seguin doesn’t have a goal against, and tonight is his last chance for the season to make sure no one has to discuss it ever again.

It doesn’t help that Seguin has been struggling to score all season, though certainly not for lack of trying.

More from Blackout Dallas

Seguin leads the team in points, but he’s behind Jamie Benn and Alexander Radulov on goals. That’s not a bad thing necessarily, but his shooting percentage is 19th on the team this season.

Benn has 12 goals on 79 shots. Radulov has 9 on 58. Both of them are above a 15% shooting percentage. Seguin, on the other hand, only has 8 goals on a whopping 124 shots, giving him a 6.5% shooting percentage.

There are only two guys in the league shooting more than Seguin, and that’s Jack Eichel (10 goals, 138 shots) and Nathan MacKinnon (20 goals, 132 shots). Eichel is struggling against a low shooting percentage like Seguin, but MacKinnon is putting up a crazy amount of goals.

Hopefully, Seguin can improve on that shooting percentage tonight and finally get a goal against the Ducks.

Dallas Stars Injury Report

Connor Carrick: Carrick is still aiming for Christmas as a potential return.

Stephen Johns: Johns is out indefinitely with no real update.

John Klingberg: Klingberg is also hoping to return around Christmas and he’s said he hopes to start skating with the team next week after the road trip.

Marc Methot: There’s no real update on Methot recently, just that he was going through some more tests and isn’t ready yet.

Anaheim Ducks Injury Report

Patrick Eaves: Eaves won’t play against his former team despite finally recovering from his previous injury since he’s got a broken rib now.

Cam Fowler: Fowler is out for at least another month due to a lot of broken bones in his face.

Korbinian Holzer: Holzer is still on IR from the beginning of the season and is still at least two months away.

Ryan Miller: Miller sprained his MCL over the weekend and will be out until late January.

Corey Perry: Perry hasn’t played all season due to an MCL tear, leaving Stars fans without their favorite player to boo.

Rickard Rakell: Rakell is out indefinitely with a sprained ankle from last week.

The Ducks are feeling the pain of injuries right now like the Stars, but it’ll still be a tough game as the Stars go for the season sweep on them.
