It’s Christmas Day, and we hope the holiday spirit finds you well, wherever you may be. Merry Christmas, Dallas Stars fans.

As Christmas morning dawns and heaps of wrapping paper begin flying around your living rooms, we would like to extend some warm holiday wishes in your direction.

From all of us here at Blackout Dallas, we want to wish you each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! We trust that you will spend it safely and joyfully with family and friends. Or you could spend it watching Alexander Radulov‘s overtime goal against the Minnesota Wild from Saturday night. It’s up to you.

With the roster freeze and league break on its second day and extending into Wednesday night, both the players and front office executives from all 31 NHL teams get to spend the holiday with their families as well. The Dallas Stars will be off until Thursday night when they travel to Nashville to face off with the Predators. So, this three-day break gives them a chance to recharge.

“Go enjoy your time with your family,” head coach Jim Montgomery said about his message to the team before entering the break. “They need to take time away to be with their families; that’s the most important part. That was the message: spend time, get reenergized. Get away, spend some time with your family and loved ones because it’s a special time of the year. Come back, and we’ll get to work on the morning of the 27th.”

More from Blackout Dallas

The Stars are 37 games into their 2018-19 regular season, and the results up to this point have been somewhat confusing and inconsistent. Dallas sits at a record of 18-16-3 and has lost six of their past eight contests. It’s been an intriguing ride with plenty of ups and downs, and only looks to be getting more entertaining with the second half.

But with the NHL off today, we’re going to take the day off to celebrate the holiday with our own families and friends! We will be back tomorrow with more in-depth Dallas Stars coverage and to help prepare you for the Stars’ contest in Nashville. It’s going to be an interesting end to the month of December, and we’ll be here for you every step of the way.

Lastly, even though Thanksgiving passed a month ago, I’d still like to once again extend my thanks to each and every one of you. Thanks for sticking with us this season and constantly returning to the site to dive into new content. Your fandom/readership now and throughout the past five years has meant the world to me and only helps mold my dream into a reality.

The Dallas Stars have made things interesting throughout this season and there’s likely more in store, so we will probably have plenty to write about going forward. But that’s why we’re still here, and it’s probably why you keep visiting the site. As the great Mark Stepneski once tweeted, “It’s always an adventure with the Stars.” That’s why we stay tuned.

We hope Victor E. Claus treated you well on this Christmas Day and hooked you up with some new Stars gear! From beanies to keep you warm to even some autographed memorabilia, we hope you got some great new Stars merchandise. If you received anything Stars-related that you are rather proud of, make sure to share it with us on Facebook or Twitter!
