Dallas Stars conclude their mini roadtrip tonight in the Arizona desert

The Dallas Stars look to conclude their mini road trip Sunday night on a high note as they take on the Arizona Coyotes on “Sunday Night Hockey”. The Stars look to extend their winning streak on the road to 7 games as they have been on a roll on the road lately. Like the Blackhawks, the Stars can’t overlook the Coyotes because they have nothing to lose. Here are the keys to the game tonight for the Dallas Stars.
Dallas Stars vs Arizona Coyotes: 3. Play Oettinger till the wheels fall off
In Dallas, Jake Oettinger is the trending athlete right now. I know Luka Doncic has been on a tear on offense ever since Kristnaps Porzingis got traded, but Otter is turning some heads now. With a save percentage of .988 on this road trip, all you can do is keep playing him until he loses or gets injured.
The Stars need to keep winning games in order to get into the playoffs and based on our two goaltenders, Oettinger is the way to go for right now. I know Holtby is going to play in the second half of the season, but you got to go with the good luck charm for now.
Dallas Stars vs Arizona Coyotes: 2. Keep attacking the net
The Stars have to keep attacking the net after the opening faceoff. It’s not ideal to have games to the 7th round of a shootout. The Stars had their chances on Thursday night but they got to capitalize on them. One way to become an elite hockey team in this league is to capitalize on your opponent’s mistakes and make them pay.
Dallas Stars vs Arizona Coyotes: 1. Kick the Kings out of playoffs
The Stars got to enjoy a playoff spot for about an hour last night until the Los Angeles Kings beat the Vegas Golden Knights. It felt good to see the Stars in a playoff spot last night even if it was for a short time. The Stars can kick the Kings out of the playoffs if they keep winning. It would be nice to see the Stars kick them out once and for all.
