Last night’s duck hunt was so successful that the Dallas Stars decided to schedule another late night duck hunt Thursday night. If the Stars win Thursday night, they would sweep the Anaheim Ducks to kick off their five game roadtrip they just started. Here are the keys to the game if the Stars want to get another two points and the sweep of the mini series.

Dallas Stars vs Anaheim Ducks Preview: 3. Keep up the offense

Last night the Stars really attacked John Gibson in front of his own net. The Stars could have had a half a dozen goals if they were able to get the puck across the redline. The Stars need to keep doing this every night if they want to make the playoffs. I don’t think that Stars fans care who scores the goals, just as long as the Stars don’t try to coast to a victory after scoring one time

Dallas Stars vs Anaheim Ducks Preview: 2. Keep OtterMania going

Sorry about the Wrestle Mania pun in the article this morning, just wanted to add it since Wrestle Mania is in Dallas this weekend. But the Stars need to keep playing Jake Oettinger while on this roadtrip. Every point matters basically on this roadtrip and the Stars are looking to continue building a gap between the second wildcard spot in the playoffs and the first team on the outside. Oettinger pretty much gives the Stars the best chance to do it.

Dallas Stars vs Anaheim Ducks Preview: 1. Be a Nuisance and have a successful duck hunt

The Stars need to continue to be the nuisance they were on defense Tuesday night. Trevor Zegras couldn’t get setup behind our net on Tuesday night to do “the Michigan” which was a good thing. If the Stars can continue to disrupt their chances in the Stars zone tonight, I’m confident that the Stars can walk out of Anaheim with 4 points and continue to build a cushion in the playoff race.
