We are at that time of the year where the Dallas Stars are wrapping up season series against teams. Tonight the Stars wrap up their season series against the San Jose Sharks at the American Airlines Center. It will be a long day for workers at the AAC as the Dallas Mavericks host a playoff game against the Utah Jazz before the Stars game. Here are the keys to the game if the Stars want to leapfrog the Nashville Predators for that 1st Wildcard spot in the playoffs.

Dallas Stars vs Nashville Predators: 3. OtterMania

Jake Oettinger is back between the pipes tonight after a well deserved rest for a couple of games. We will need him as the Sharks look to come into town and stir up some playoff drama by beating the Dallas Stars. If Oettinger comes to play tonight and the Stars offense gets going early, I’m liking our chances at beating the Sharks and leapfrogging the Predators in the standings.

Dallas Stars vs Nashville Predators: 2. All the lines get a goal tonight challenge

What I want to see tonight from our offense is all the lines get at least a goal tonight. A majority of our goals have recently come from the minutemen line in the past couple of games. If the Stars can spread the scoring around tonight, playoff teams will start worrying if they will end up playing the Stars in the first round of the playoffs.

Dallas Stars vs Nashville Predators: 1. 2 points

I’m happy the Stars at least picked up a point against the Wild in OT. It at least tied us with Nashville and we didn’t go home empty handed with nothing on home ice. With less than 10 games remaining in the season, every win needs to count. Stars can’t afford to go to OT and lose and only pick up a point. Stars have to pick up two points tonight against a beatable Sharks squad.

Ill keep you up to date on the Blackout Dallas Twitter page on when the Stars game will start if the Mavericks game goes to OT.
