This is a case where the game came down to who dominated each period. The Seattle Kraken dominated the 1st period as to where the Dallas Stars dominated the last two periods. Roope Hintz’s two goals in the second period sparked Dallas to a victory over the Seattle Kraken 3-2. Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken: 1st period recap
This period was basically dominated by the Seattle Kraken as they scored two goals in the period. Riley Sheahan got the first goal of the game for the Kraken to give them a 1-0 lead. Yonni Gourde would score at the end of the period on a deflection that Jake Oettinger couldn’t save.
Kraken would be up 2-0 going into the first intermission of the game. Even though down 2, the Stars would lead in shots on goal 12-9 and in face offs 17-4. Stars would need to come out energized in the 2nd period if they want to win this game.
Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken: 2nd period recap
This is where the Stars would take over in the game and score three goals within five minutes. Roope Hintz would score the first goal of the game. With the assist, Joe Pavelski would reach his 500th career assist. The AAC gave him a standing ovation when they announced it at the game. Oettinger would also get his first NHL point on the goal.
Roope Hintz would officially go on hat trick watch after scoring his second goal a couple of minutes later.

Vladislav Namestnikov would score the game-winning goal a couple of minutes later to make it 3-2 Stars going into the second intermission. The Stars would lead in shots on goal 26-18 and in faceoffs won 33-14.

Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken: 3rd period recap
The Stars basically shut down the Kraken in the final frame for a final score of 3-2. The Stars would tie Nashville in the standings in overall points and be four point cushion over Vegas in the second wildcard spot.

Las Vegas has a game tomorrow against the San Jose Sharks in the Shark Tank. Fans need to pray tomorrow that somehow they lose on the road in San Jose so the Stars have a cushion going into Tuesday’s game against Vegas. If they win tomorrow, buckle up because Tuesday night’s game could be the make or breaking point of the Star’s season.
