The Dallas Stars have officially announced the schedule for the 2022-23 season. Stars fans have been eagerly waiting for the schedule to drop since the end of the 2021-22 season after losing in the first round of the playoffs to the Calgary Flames. The Stars have a good chance to get back to the postseason this year with Jake Oettinger in the net and Peter DeBoer as your new head coach. Here are some of the early important dates on the schedule for next season.
Dallas Stars 2022-23 Schedule Release: October 13-15 Home and home to kick off the season
The Dallas Stars will kick off the 2022-23 campaign in against the Nashville Predators. The Stars will then get back on the plane and return home to Dallas to take on the Predators for the home opener at the American Airlines Center. Make sure to get your tickets for the home opener now before they are sold out.
Dallas Stars 2022-23 Schedule Release: October 17th Rick Bowness Reunion
The Stars won’t have to wait long to say hi to a familiar face. The Stars welcome former Dallas Stars head coach Rick Bowness back to the AAC as they take on the Winnipeg Jets in the second home game of the season. This will be his first time back in Dallas since taking over the Winnipeg Jets last week. This will probably be an emotional game for most of the guys since some of the team was here for all of Rick’s tenure in Dallas.
Dallas Stars 2022-23 Schedule Release: December 31st NYE game
The Dallas Stars host the San Jose Sharks as they look back at 2022 and prepare to bring in 2023 in style. Victory Park is more than likely going to be packed since they usually have their NYE party. All I can say for Stars fans is to go for the hockey game and stay in Downtown Dallas to ring in the new year.
Dallas Stars 2022-23 Schedule Release: November 21st The defending Champs evade Dallas
The Colorado Avalanche will play their first game of the season against the Dallas Stars on November 21 at the American Airlines Center. The rivalry between the Avalanche and Stars goes back to the Mike Modano and Joe Sakic days when every game was a fierce matchup. I’m grateful we aren’t kicking the season off against them and that we have to watch them hoist their Stanley Cup banner into the rafters.
These are just some of the important dates on the schedule. I’ll be writing an article closer to the start of preseason on ticket sites the Stars sell their tickets on and how to get deals on them. Stay tuned to Blackout Dallas for more info on that and all your Stars’ news.
