With the first two games against the Nashville Predators done and out of the way, it’s time to focus on Canada. The Dallas Stars welcome the Winnipeg Jets to the American Airlines Center tonight. Unfortunately, Former Dallas Stars Head Coach Rick Bowness will not be coaching the team tonight. He is still home recovering from getting Covid recently. Here are the three keys to the game that the Stars need to focus on against the Jets.

Dallas Stars vs Winnipeg Jets Preview: 3. Let’s Get the Other Lines Scoring Again

In the second game against the Predators, Pavelski and Sons dominated the game finishing with 8 combined points. The one thing I want to see the Stars work on against the Jets is getting the other lines going on offense. I would really like to see Jamie Benn’s line get some goals tonight. The Stars need to send a message to the league that the other lines can score as well.

Dallas Stars vs Winnipeg Jets Preview: 2. Stop Mark Scheifele

The Dallas Stars have to stop Winnipeg Jets Center Mark Scheifele. He is currently the leading goal scorer for the Jets with two goals. The last thing the Stars need to have is Scheifele having a night against Jake Oettinger. The defense has to be sharp on the ice when he’s out there. No one else is providing offense for the Jets.

Dallas Stars vs Winnipeg Jets Preview: 1. Get More Aggressive on Defense

The Stars did a good job on defense shutting down Nashville’s passing and shooting lanes. The Stars have to continue that as well against the Jets. The one thing I want to see the Stars improve on is getting a little more aggressive and forcing the Jets to make a bad pass. Nashville had a lot of time in the puck later in the game and we would like to see our opponents have less time in the Star’s zone.
