The Dallas Stars will be playing in a familiar place tomorrow night. The Stars take on the Minnesota Wild Thursday night at Xcel Energy Center. The reason why this place is familiar is before moving to Dallas, the Stars were originally called the Minnesota North Stars. So this is basically a homecoming for the Stars franchise. Hopefully some North Stars fans will be in attendance to cheer on Dallas tomorrow night. Here are the three keys to the game against the Wild.

Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild Preview: 3. Get off to the same start as in Nashville

The Dallas Stars really need to get off to the same start that they did against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night. Stars have to press and force the Minnesota Wild to make turnovers or cause them to shoot the puck into the crowd. They also have to set the pace letting the Wild know they’re here for the two points tonight.

Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild Preview: 2. Contain Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello

There are two players that the Stars need to dial in their defense on tonight. For those who remember, Kaprizov was the one that stole the Calder Trophy from Jason Robertson in his rookie season. He’s having a good season with 19 goals and 25 assists. Zuccarello is another one that the Stars need to watch tonight. He’s a former Stars player that is also having a good season for the Wild with 16 goals and 23 assists.

Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild Preview: 1. Get Fredrik Olofsson more minutes

Olofsson was really impressive in his ever NHL start against the Predators on Tuesday night. I would like to see Pete DeBoer give him some more playing time tonight against the Wild. Even though he is on the checking line, he provided some offense to the checking line. He had a couple of passes that I thought would have been assists against Nashville. I think he could possibly get a goal tonight against the Wild to be honest with you.
