If you love memes, the meme of the grandma saying, “it’s been 82 years” sums up this game tonight. The Dallas Stars finally take on the Seattle Kraken this season. The Stars will have finally played all 31 teams in the league after tonight’s game.

After coming off the “Texas Sized 10-4” win over the Buffalo Sabres, the Stars look to continue winning on the road to keep securing first place in the Central Division. With a red-hot Colorado Avalanche team right behind them, every win matters from here on out. Here are the three keys of the game tonight against the Seattle Kraken on the road.

Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken: 3. Attack attack attack

The Stars have got to continue to do what they did against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night, attack the net. I know the Stars will not have the same goaltender to go up against as they did Thursday night, but they need to keep attacking the net. Martin Jones will make sure to give the Stars a hard time tonight as the Kraken goaltender.

Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken: 2. Need a Wyatt Johnston show tonight

If you haven’t been following along with the Calder Trophy race this year, it looks like it’s down between Matty Beniers and Wyatt Johnston. I want to see Johnston go off tonight as there will probably be a lot of voters in attendance tonight. Wyatt is due for a huge breakout game this season and wouldn’t it be awesome to do it in front of the Calder Trophy voters? If there is one matchup to keep an eye on tonight during tonight’s game, it’s these two players right here.

Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken: 1. Protect Oettinger

Since apparently, Pete DeBoer won’t allow Matt Murray to start in the net tonight, Jake Oettinger will have to make another start for Dallas. He gave up four goals against the Buffalo Sabres and he hasn’t looked like vintage Oettinger in a while. I was seriously worried when Wedgewood re-injured himself a couple of weeks ago cause Otter wouldn’t get the scheduled rest he needs. The Stars need to make it easy for him tonight as he needs some rest from all the games he’s started.
