That saucer pass from Max Domi made its way around social media late last night. Miro Heiskanen sent that pass almost through the top of the net to give the Dallas Stars a 4-3 OT win over the Kraken. Even though the Stars did give the lead to the Kraken, I liked how they bounced back to win the game. It shows that the Stars are ready for the playoffs and won’t give up until the final horn sounds. Here are the three takeaways from last night’s win over the Kraken.
Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken Recap: 3. Battle-tested
The Stars showed some flashes of their epic comebacks this season last night in the final minutes of the game. You could tell that they were not letting that puck leave the Kraken’s zone without a fight. The Stars waited patiently until they were able to get good shots on the net and found Pavelski wide open on the side for the game-tying goal. This is what a playoff-caliber team is capable of and the Stars showed that they are a team that no one wants to mess with.
Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken Recap: 3. Saucer pass was saucy!!!
If there was a top highlight from around the league last night, it would have to be Max Domi’s saucer pass to Miro for the game-winning goal. That was probably one of the most accurate saucer passes I’ve seen while watching hockey. That puck had enough lift to get over the Kraken defender’s stick and settle down before it went flying into the top of the net. Max Domi better warn his agent right now because I see an extension to stay here in Dallas long term.
Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken Recap: 1. We got two points out of the win
With the regular season wrapping up shortly, every point matters if the Stars want to win the Western Conference and the Central Division. Getting two points from Seattle was a huge step in that direction. All the Stars have to keep doing is win games and hope Las Vegas has a losing streak here and there. The Stars are right there to steal both things and another two points against the Kraken Monday night can help them stay on that path.
