The Dallas Stars are fighting for their playoff lives tonight at the American Airlines Center. We have arrived at game 7, one of the most nerve-wracking sporting events available. They will be taking on the Seattle Kraken for a chance to play the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference Finals.

The Stars can’t afford to make any mistakes tonight on the ice. If you saw game 6, a couple of stupid penalties led to the Kraken breaking out to take a considerable lead. The Stars have to go out there tonight and play true “Texas Hockey”.

Before we get to the three keys of the game of game 7, I do have something to tell you guys. If this is our last game tonight, I just wanted to say what an honor it has been bringing you Dallas Stars hockey news to you this season. I’m not stepping down from being the Site Expert, just wanted to say what an honor it has been to bring you news all season long. Now let’s get to the three keys for tonight’s game against the Kraken.

Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken Preview: 3. Blitz Grubauer

The Stars need to blitz Philipp Grubauer tonight if they want a chance at playing the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference Finals. He seems to be really bad if he faces multiple shots in close. That would be the best chance for the Stars to produce some offense tonight. Wyatt Johnston showed that in game 4 when he opened the scoring with that goal right in front of the goal.

Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken Preview: 2. Keep Kraken shots to the outside

The Stars need to keep the Kraken’s shots on goal outside and wide tonight. It seemed to work in game 4 when the Kraken couldn’t get a shot on Jake Oettinger in the middle of the Stars zone. I don’t know why they abandoned that in game 6 where they could eliminate the Kraken on their home ice. Hopefully, the Stars they bring this back tonight in game 7.

Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken Preview: 1. Career Otter game

Oettinger needs to have the game of his career tonight. Hopefully, he can bury the game 7 loss to the Flames last season in the ground tonight with a win. Oettinger has a stellar record after taking a loss. I hope that continues tonight against the Kraken. If the Stars don’t get a career game from Oettinger. It’s the end of the road for the Stars this season and they will be watching the expansion bowl on TV this week.
