Dallas Stars look to overcome another obstacle in Vegas tonight
The Dallas Stars saved their season temporarily as Joe Pavelski scored in OT to give the Stars their first OT win this postseason. Now with the series at 3-1 favoring Vegas, the Stars return to the Vegas Strip in order to keep their season alive tonight. The Stars need to go out there tonight and play Dallas Stars hockey and hopefully, it’s good enough to force a Game 6. Hopefully, their desperation tonight will allow Jamie Benn to play another game this season.

Dallas Stars vs Vegas Golden Knights Preview: 3. Get pressure in front of the net
The Stars need to get pressure in front of the net tonight in order to force Game 6. If you watched Game 4 on Thursday night, the Stars were able to get the puck in the net while pressuring Adin Hill. They need to send the rebounds off of Hill’s right back at him, none of this off the goalie pad and Vegas clears the zone. This pressure needs to start at the beginning of the game all the way to the final horn at the end of the third period.
Dallas Stars vs Vegas Golden Knights Preview: 2. Play clean in front of Oettinger
The Stars need to play cleanly in front of Jake Oettinger to win Game 5 tonight. They had some issues with that in Game 4 and it resulted in a couple of easy goals for Vegas. That can’t happen tonight as the season is on the line again tonight. Stars need to make sure Oettinger can see the puck at all times. Don’t stand in front of him like Jason Robertson did on the first goal. If the Stars can do this and allow Oettinger to do his job, the Stars can live to see another game on Monday.
Dallas Stars vs Vegas Golden Knights Preview: 1. Win it to keep the season alive
The Stars just need to go out there and play full desperation hockey tonight. I want to see players who haven’t really blocked shots this year do that. They also need to get the puck in the back of the net by any means necessary.
I want to see them play for their lives tonight and bring the show back to Dallas on Monday night. If the Stars do end up losing tonight, at least they went down swinging giving it their all to prolong their season. All I ask of the team tonight is to go out there and leave it all on the table.
