We are seriously getting close to the beginning of the Dallas Stars training camp which will begin next month. However there is one event that happens before even training camp starts, Dallas Stars night at the Frisco RoughRiders. I love this event because the Frisco community and Stars’ fans show up every season to this event. It’s a great evening of baseball and we get to celebrate the beginning of hockey returning off with a bang. Here is a preview of what to expect next Friday night.

Dallas Stars Night at the Frisco RoughRiders: Who are the RoughRiders?

The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. They are named after the calvary that Teddy Roosevelt formed. Think of the team as Cedar Park for the Texas Rangers. The Rangers will store some of their top prospects who are super close to making the major leagues on this team. If they have proven they belong at the next level, they will be sent up to the Round Rock Express at the Triple-A level.

Also whenever there is an injury to a Texas Rangers baseball player, usually they will rehab down in Frisco. Fans have seen Rangers players such as Leody Taveras and Corey Seager rehab with the RoughRiders this season. They also have a lazy river which fans can buy tickets and watch the RoughRiders while floating around.

Dallas Stars Night at the Frisco RoughRiders: How can I get tickets?

You can still get tickets for Dallas Stars night on September 8th by going to the linked website here. From there you can scroll down and get tickets for the game. Unfortunately, the ticket package for a Blackout Jersey and preseason tickets has completely sold out.

That’s a bummer, but you can still have fun by going to get tickets and cheer on the RoughRiders as they look to clinch their playoff spot to repeat as Texas League Champions this season. It will be a great night of baseball so come out and celebrate the beginning of hockey right around the corner.
