We are just over 24 hours to the start of another season of Dallas Stars Hockey. They will take the ice tomorrow night at home against the St. Louis Blues. It will be a fun-packed atmosphere as fans will try and get their favorite player’s autograph on the victory green carpet event outside the arena. While Stars fans don’t have much to do until tomorrow night’s game, the team is hard at work preparing for the game. Here is what went on at Stars practice today as they prepare for the real thing tomorrow night.

Dallas Stars Opening Night Eve Practice: Power Play Lines might have been finalized

Dallas Stars TV Analyst Brent Severyn was at practice this morning and he posted on Twitter what could possibly be the power play lines for tomorrow night. The top power play line consists of: Jamie Benn, Tyler Sequin, Joe Pavelski, Jason Robertson, and Miro Hesikanen. The second power play unit consists of: Wyatt Johnston, Nils Lundkvist, Evgenii Dadonov, Matt Duchene, and Mason Marchment. I’m pretty sure that Roope Hintz will take Benn’s spot if he’s ready for tomorrow night.

I’m really interested to see how that second power play unit does when the first one needs a break. It seems like Nils Lundkvist has shown the coaching staff that he can manage playing on the power play. He seems to be the coaching staff’s favorite player coming into this season. He must have done a lot of conditioning and practice over the offseason and it has impressed the coaching staff.

Dallas Stars Opening Night Eve Practice: Roope Hintz availability

Now I know a lot of fans are hoping to see the top line take the ice tomorrow night but it might not happen. According to Dallas Morning News Dallas Stars Beat Reporter Lia Assimakopoulos, she reported that Roope Hintz will be a game-time decision according to Dallas Stars Head Coach Pete DeBoer. To be honest, I rather Hintz take his time to get back. The last thing that the Stars need to have happen tomorrow night is Hintz getting severely injured and out for the season.
