Dallas Stars Shine: Jamie Benn, Jason Spezza Step Up In Community
Though this offseason is creeping to a close and the Dallas Stars are starting to turn their sights back to the hockey world, there’s always time to keep giving back.
The Dallas Stars have always been a charitable and community minded organization, so with a new season around the corner, the only thing left to do is keep the good times rolling.
The Stars are forever keeping it classy and fun with their community-minded outreaches and fundraisers, and this time two players are stepping up to keep giving back.
Jamie Benn has long been a friend of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and he continues his partnership with them this year, this upcoming Sunday through Monday.
Benn will be making appearances and garnering fan support at Jamba Juice in Plano, and will then take the show on the road on Monday with aims at discussing the MS Society’s goals and mission with those working in the Dallas area.

Though he himself was recognized as the society’s “Person on the Move” in 2016 for his work with the organization, he will also be recognizing a local high school student who has also been raising money- over $75,000, to be exact, for the Multiple Sclerosis cause.
The day before Benn begins his charitable efforts, Jason Spezza will be pitching in by hosting a hockey clinic for the child recipients of the Jason Spezza Scholarship Fund, started by Spezza himself.
This fund helps kids facing financial difficulties that might otherwise prevent them from playing the sport they love. Not only will these young players benefit from the funds raised, but they’ll enjoy Spezza’s tutelage on Saturday.
