The Dallas Stars are in the thick of the Western Conference right now, and they’re benefiting from a few forwards gaining offensive momentum.
Last night, the Dallas Stars raised Jere Lehtinen‘s No. 26 to the rafters in a ceremony fit for one of the best in the franchise’s history. They followed it up with a highly entertaining battle that resulted in a 6-3 win for the guys in green.
That game, and their most recent at home, show just how important it is to have forwards with streaks. And, luckily for Dallas, there are a few who have found their stride this season.
Tyler Seguin
Tyler Seguin earned his franchise record-winning seventh hat trick as a member of the Stars in last night’s match-up. He has six points in the team’s last three games, which is even more impressive considering they were shut out by Colorado just before Thanksgiving.

Seguin has reportedly been dealing with some nagging injuries this season, but he’s been playing like he’s at 100 percent lately.
That is great for the Stars, especially considering their power play has been less-than-impressive of late. No. 91’s offensive contributions don’t go unnoticed, and yet again prove just how much he means to the success of the Dallas Stars.
Jason Spezza
Another forward who has found his stride is Jason Spezza. The long-tenured center has struggled this season and while he’s always contributing something, it’s reassuring that he has a few points in the bank.
Spezza has two points in the last four games, but considering he’s only put up nine this season that’s pretty significant.
Regardless of his points totals, Spezza is a leader in the Stars’ locker room. However, it’s a lot easier for him and the team when he’s getting in on the action in the offensive zone. As one of the best centers in the league for the better part of his career, it’s no wonder that No. 90 has found his stride.
Devin Shore
Devin Shore, the youngest of the group, finally scored his first goal of the season on Nov. 18 versus the Edmonton Oilers. From there, he’s added another goal and two assists in the three games since.
Shore is a talented skater with skilled hands and the ability to be great in the NHL. He’s had the benefit of learning from some of the best in the league – notably the two players listed above – and it shows.
No. 17 also finds himself on the power play more often than not. And although it’s not going as well as other areas of the Stars’ game, it’s great experience for Shore to learn and grow from.

Bottom Line
Without offensive contributions from throughout the line-up, the Dallas Stars are facing an uphill battle. It’s key to have players of all experience levels produce offensively, and it seems to be falling into place.
Although it’s a little late considering it’s almost December, the Stars can be hopeful that this recent streak of great offensive performances is just the beginning.
