Radek Faksa took the Dallas Stars’ run on his back and made a bigger name for himself in the league. Now, the Stars need other players to do the same.

The Dallas Stars have a lot of big name players. There are a lot of guys that are highly respected in the NHL, and it’s a tough club to play against.

Radek Faksa‘s recent hot streak of offensive was impressive to say the least, but there are a few players on the roster who need to do something similar this season in order for Dallas to be successful.

Propelling the team forward

These aren’t the same Dallas Stars from a year ago. They’re not the same Stars from a few years ago. This team is essentially an entirely new club with a new mindset.

While it took a while for the players to adjust, they finally seem to be comfortable enough to move forward with confidence. Now that their system is in control, they need something else to push the team’s momentum forward.

In Dallas’ case, it’s another Faksa-like tear. Whether it’s from the captain or a call-up from the AHL, Dallas needs to have a player take the offensive reigns and run with them again because it makes everyone else better.

There isn’t a player on the team who wasn’t impressed with what No. 12 was able to do. However, they also probably all felt that they want to do the same. It’s time to turn that desire into action.

Making a name

The NHL is full of talented players with varying levels of notoriety. Dallas has a few big names, but it’s time that they get recognition for how talented they truly are.

Big names help distract the opposition from the rest of the talented line-up, making it easier to have an upper hand. The Stars could really benefit from this in the competitive Western Conference where every single point counts.

Plus, for the best interest of their future as individual players, it’s also a great thing to have a season to look back on and point out a time they put the team on their back a bit. Of course, this isn’t ideal for Dallas when it comes to re-signing guys, but it’s part of the game.

Moving forward

The Stars will benefit from at least a few players finding their top-notch offensive game at some point this season. Whether it’s sooner or later is really the question.
