Summer is a 28-year-old Midwestern transplant with a lifelong passion for hockey who has been a Stars season ticket holder since moving to DFW in 2015 (but a fan of the team since she got a Modano jersey in '97). When she's not at Stars games, she can typically be found at Six Flags or at the ice rinks in Plano and Allen. She currently resides in Plano with her husband, 10-year-old son, Bernese Mountain Dog, and two cats. She graduated in 2018 from UT Dallas with a concentration in sports journalism and spent two years as the Sports Editor of UTD's Pacemaker-winning newspaper, The Mercury. She also hosted a sports talk show on Radio UTD with a focus on Dallas (even though it pained her to talk about the Cowboys so much).
